Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! I know I've been away for so long. I don't even know where to start. Blame me! Sayalah melayu yang mudah lupa itu :p

I was on soul searching all this while. Thinking what I wanted in life and how I am going to pursue doing what I love to do. Finally........

My upcoming online fashion store, an affordable clothing line for all you real women out there.

Nevertheless, I am not giving up on blogging just yet. This is what I love to do! So, I have started a new fashion blog, www.myfashionlog.blogspot.com in conjunction of the debut for FashionCents. So, watch this space, ya'll!

Perfectly irritating

Have you ever dealt with a perfectly irritating human being? Who answers a question with another question? Who desperately finds your mistake when you point out theirs? Though you corrected them to avoid any disaster, rather than trying to show who's right or wrong. Someone with no common sense at all. Like their brain is out of order or under construction or something! SICK, I know.

It's sickening and you cannot imagine. Trust me! I pray to Allah to grant me the strength to deal with these kind of human. Dah la mak memang tak berapa nak sabar kan.

Thank God it's Saturday. I have many things lined up for these 2 days. I'm just gonna chill and relax for a bit and try to avoid dealing with this perfectly irritating human being. Even if I had to, I would try to be as very patient as I could, though I'm not really sure where 'my patience" is right now. I'll try to look in the fridge, one of my handbags or in my closet, perhaps.

Have a good weekend everyone and chillax!

Chef Iza Bakar

I'm sitting here in front of the lappy thinking of what to cook for dinner. It's always a challenge to answer, "What's for dinner?". Sigh.......

Now I know what my mom was complaining all this while. Having cooked for more than 30 years now must be a great torture to her. You will run out of ideas, especially an amateur like me. I tried my best to be really creative with the menu, but yet again..... headache.

BBMed hubster for an idea today. "You nak makan apa dinner harini?". His answer was "Apa-apa yang you masak pun cukup sedap untuk I". I wasn't sure how to react to that reply. Well, thank you. That really help. Duhhhhh!

Since I'm tired of eating my own cooking and I'm in no mood to cook, tonight's menu is Chinese fried rice with fried chicken. My time is up and the kitchen is calling. Chef Iza Bakar is signing off......

Fashionable enough?

What I have to say here today is totally my personal opinion. Takda kaitan dengan yang hidup ataupun yang telah mati meninggal dunia :p

I am not a fashionista, though I am inspired to be one. I am more of a plain Jane. I dress according to my personal preference, regardless whether it is the "in-thing" or not. I stick to my jeans or palazzo pants, plain tops(most of it) from almost the same colour palette (blue, brow and grey, though sometimes I do go for bold colours like red and orange) and my ballerina shoes or pumps. I believe fashion comes and go, but style remains. (Not trying to stay that I'm stylish, okay). I don't have to revamp my wardrobe everytime the new trend arrives, like how the skinny jeans, the big belts, the leggings and the "gladiator" sandals used to be a hit sometimes ago.

To me, being fashionable is very subjective. You got to understand your body and what's best to accentuate your figure. Remember, not everyone could carry that "aladdin harem pants"!. I swear by this mantra, "Less is more!" . For instance, women in hijab shouldn't be going for too much of layers because it just makes you look overwrapped! But what I'm seeing these days are fashion turning people into clowns. It's really fascinating to see how girls and women trying to be creative with their style, but at the same time being "the centre of attraction" for the wrong reasons.

Call me old fashion but  I seriously think big bow on baju kurung waistline and on tudung (I don't get it!), print pants(tribal print, polkadot, zebra print) that look like pyjamas(it can be Zara or BCBG or whatever, but WTH?) , are among "over the top" fashion / style for me.

My two cents worth of advice : Wear clothes that makes you confident and comfortable because you should be "bigger" than what your wear! But in case you feel comfortable looking like a clown, by all means....hahahaha

Idle Sunday

Today has been a lazy and idle Sunday for me. But "lazying" on weekend is a BIG word for a mommy like me. As much I want to laze all day longg, I have a basket of dirty clothes awaiting, a pile of office clothes to be ironed, the whole house to be swept and mopped and most importantly a 3-year old diva to be attended to.

Since hubster had to be at work today, it was basically mommy+little one spending time together at home, but it was not bad at all. Little girl kept herself busy with tv and her "babies" while mommy does all the house chores. She was in a good mood for the whole day. Check ou what little mommy did for her babies...

She did all these by herself. Isn't she a dedicated mommy? :p
We are suppose to be having fun outing right now (as per daddy's suggestion) but poor daddy fell asleep as soon as he got home. Too tired, must be. And so did the little one. Finally....*phew*

No matter what, we are still going out for dinner because poor mommy is craving for "ayam penyet". Nak jugak, nak jugak. Tak kiraaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Or else, the quiet and peaceful Sunday will end up as a disastrous one :p
